Bathroom & Wellness Guide

Bathroom organization inspiration

Give your bathroom routine a place

Start with the counter, cabinet, or shower. Keep daily essentials accessible without filling every surface.

Before choosing storage

  1. Sort by routine. Separate daily-use items from refills and occasional-use supplies.
  2. Check storage instructions. Follow the labels on personal-care products. Do not assume every item belongs in a humid bathroom.
  3. Measure usable space. Record width, depth, height, and the clearance needed to remove items or open a drawer.
  4. Check conditions. Review moisture exposure, surface compatibility, mounting method, and care requirements for the organizer you are considering.

Counter & cosmetics: store for the daily routine

Choose the products you use regularly at this sink or mirror. Move backups to a separate suitable spot instead of keeping every bottle on display.

  • Trays: Group a few daily items and define their return spot. Check the footprint and whether the tray can be cleaned as directed.
  • Divided organizers: Separate small tools and cosmetics. Check compartment size against the items you own.
  • Drawers or tiered storage: Consider them when you need access to several groups. Measure opening clearance and the height of your tallest bottle.

Leave access to the faucet and an area for using the sink. Do not place an organizer where it interferes with safe use of nearby electrical items; follow those items' instructions.

Keep it working: Return daily items after use and avoid filling empty compartments with products you do not need there.

Cabinets & under the sink: measure around obstacles

Measure the opening as well as the interior. Sketch the position of pipes, valves, hinges, and shelf supports, and preserve access to plumbing.

Bins can group related items; shelves can divide usable height; pull-out organizers need space for their full movement and any installation hardware. Check all outside dimensions, not just the storage tray.

Store cleaners and personal-care products according to their labels, with appropriate separation and away from children's and pets' reach. Do not treat a storage bin as a substitute for required secure storage.

Keep it working: Put frequently used groups toward the front and check for moisture or leaks before adding storage underneath plumbing.

Shower storage: check the mount before the style

  1. Measure your bottles and the space available, including access to shower controls.
  2. Identify the surface and choose only a mounting method approved for it by the manufacturer.
  3. Follow preparation, installation, waiting-time, and load instructions. Do not assume adhesive, suction, hanging, or tension designs are interchangeable.
  4. Check the item's suitability for moisture exposure, drainage, and cleaning needs.

For a hanging caddy, confirm compatibility with the shower fitting. For a wall-mounted design, check the maker's installation requirements and seek qualified help when unsure.

Keep it working: Keep only what is in use in the shower and clean the organizer as directed.
